This recipe combines Japanese flavors to create a unique and satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Wagyu Hambagu Kohafo patty

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon mirin

  • 1 tablespoon sake

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 egg (optional)

  • Soft-boiled egg (optional)

  • Shichimi Togarashi (Japanese seven-spice powder) for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Thaw and Cook Wagyu Hambagu: Follow steps 1-4 from the Classic Wagyu Hambagu recipe.

  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms and onions until tender.

  3. Mix the Sauce Ingredients: Add soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, and water to the pan. Simmer until slightly thickened.

  4. Prepare the Egg (optional): If using, fry an egg to your desired doneness or prepare a soft-boiled egg.

  5. Assemble the Dish: Place cooked rice in a bowl. Top with the Wagyu Hambagu patty and pour the sauce and vegetables over the top.

  6. Garnish (optional): Add a soft-boiled egg and sprinkle with Shichimi Togarashi for a touch of spice.

  7. Enjoy: Dig in and enjoy your delicious Wagyu Hambagu Donburi!
